KG Graduation

This is not a real clear picture, but I wanted to share the day. This was the last day of school for the kids and I will be finished tomorrow....can't wait for summer break! Josh's KG graduation was a big success. The teacher wanted to do something outside of the traditional ceremony. It was sooooo cute! Josh is in the middle............one of five boys in the class with fifteen girls........wow! The class sang and moved to the beat of the 50's. Josh seemed to enjoy his 50's look with slicked back hair and rolled up jeans.

Tired Cousins

The cousins were hot and tired after playing in the park, but they really enjoyed their time together.

Joshua Too

Josh will be 6 in June. He is graduating from KG next week and is reading everything in sight. He is amazing! Josh is curious and explores everything......he is growing too fast. Josh is a mirror image of his mother at that age.

AndyRoo

This is our youngest grandchild, Andrew. He is a delight!! Just so you know...this is the spaghetti ball I spoke of earlier. It is great to toss around, but Andrew wanted to wear it. He's so silly!! We love it!

My Girl Gracie

Gracie is a dandy! She is a great little athlete and takes soccer and softball very seriously. She is intense and determined as she plays or practices anything........a very competitive spirit. I have watched several games and practices and her determination shows in her face.

You can see by her shirt that we are alot alike.....if you know us at all, you know that we both LOVE CHOCOLATE!!!

Why sign "Cool Grandma" you ask?

This young man is the reason. Last weekend we all went to Texas to visit our son, daughter-in-law & grandchildren. We were able to attend their church music program that both of the kids sang in. It was a wonderful musical/play, and of course they were the stars! But, about that "Cool Grandma" thing..... my ego was quickly overinflated after we arrived........Gillan, 9 years old immediately invited me to jump on the trampoline and play with him. Getting up in years, overweight, and having a long trip to get there, I hesitated for a moment. It was at this point that Gillan said, "Come on grandma....I told the kids my cool grandma was coming and you are soooooo energetic and not like all of the other kids' grandmas....well, you are the Secret Agent---you are a cooool grandma!" What could I do? Of course, I jumped and showed out and tossed the spaghetti ball back and forth. We had a great time and I was exhausted..............it was worth every minute. I later inquired if the other kids' grandmas were on walkers, or something? I felt like I needed one by this point.
Coming soon.........more grandkids pictures and info.

Reason for the Title

I was reading a devotional last night from the Turning Points Magazine & Devotional....this title and scripture jumped out at me (Dr. David Jeremiah, May, 2007, p. 37). According to Dr. Jeremiah, the phrase "seasoned with salt" specifically refers to salt's power, not as a preservative, but as a seasoning. Salt keeps food from tasting bland or insipid. It makes a dish flavorful and enjoyable. That's the way our talk should be. I struggle with my speech always being with grace. I posted this scripture as a reminder to me to strive to do this.........I am failing, but working to improve.

Just getting started

This is my first attempt at creating a blog. I have enjoyed reading several other's blogs and found them interesting, intriguing, and sometimes very uplifting. I need a place to express myself. I am sure that I will primarily write about my grandkids.............I love being a grandma!! More to come as soon as I figure out how to navigate this thing.
