Just a Few Pictures

of the boys and their Daddy
on Josh's birthday....

A pleasant stare down

Andrew is taking it all in.

Look at the camera....look at the camera.

Where are those dimples and smiles?

A word about the cake.....the boys are still hung up about "Cars"--they wanted to decorate it themselves and they were so proud to tell about the dirt track they built.

June Wedding

Saturday, we attended a June outdoor wedding under a very special gazebo. It was lovely, but oh so hot. Crystal is David's niece. The bride and groom are mixing colored sand to symbolize the two lives becoming one. I assume most of you have seen this done. Some people use a unity candle, but this was pretty neat.

Nathan was very good during the wedding..he never made a sound during the ceremony. During the reception he clapped his hands and was all smiles. He is a very sociable baby.
The happy couple cutting the wedding cake.
Andrew was very quiet during the wedding too, but during the reception he encountered this adorable family pet.
Yes, he likes the puppy.
So sweet!
David with his baby sister. She so reminds us of their mother years ago.
Katie and Nathan were feeling the heat by this time.

A Few More Projects

Dish Towels
Hand towel
Casserole Cover
Just loving the Embroidery machine!

Bucket Ride

When Josh was a baby, Grandpa started giving bucket rides in his work truck. I know you say, that does not look safe, surely he is smarter than that. Well, he is, but Josh liked to look around a lot and a car seat is so confining. These rides are only for the farm, and not on the rural roads or highways. It works pretty neat. The seat belt holds the bucket and it is padded with a clean towel. Pretty clever, huh? This was Nathan's first bucket ride. He stood right up in it and looked very happy when he left. It must have been a pretty smooth ride, because he came back home like this. David said he did not last three minutes before he squatted down in the bucket and fell fast a sleep.

Happy Birthday Josh

Happy Birthday to you, Joshua. I can't believe you are eight years old, already.

I could say much about Josh.....his intelligence is way beyond his age; he is kind, and he has a tender heart; he is a great, big brother, and much more. But, I won't say more, because his mother posted a beautiful blog about him. It is so good that I think you might just want to jump on over there to read it. You can find the blog located on the right side of my blog page under Katie.

"Mud Dogs" - Plotting and Planning

These two boys will make a mud hole if they can't find one. This really was a mild adventure for them. One of the rains we received a few weeks ago brought on the urge to get in the mud again. You may not be able to tell just what they were up to, or who actually initiated this plan. This is Andrew's bike with the training wheels positioned in a mud hole. It appeared they were taking turns spinning the back tire, while the front tire was positioned on higher ground. Their goal was to see how much they could splash the muddy water up on each other...they are good at taking turns....the faster they peddled the bigger the splash. Adventures never end here. True country boys....just gotta love em.
