I Think I Will

I'm thinkin' about it.
Yeah, I'm goin' to.
She thinks I'm cute....she won't care.

Maybe, if I turn around....I can fake her out.

Okay, Grandma is not looking....she
wanders off, distracted by those
many flowers she takes pictures of...
She missed it, when I sat right down
with my good shoes and clean clothes in
the middle of this mud puddle....
I love mud and water...sand and water,
anything and water.

Yikes, she was not happy.
She made me go inside and change...
and I screamed!

"Old Friends"

Look who stopped by last night
for a surprise visit!
Wow, it was so good to see the Ellers.
We visited often in the past, but we have
allowed the busyness of life to keep us
from visiting as much.

We picked right up where we left off.
There has always been much laughter
when we are all together.
Thanks Friends....it was so good to see you.

Fun VBS Family Night

We took a couple of young Jersey calves
to VBS Family night and the kids
and adults really enjoyed them.
The Dunlaps' Alpacas were a hit.
Wow, they are beautiful animals.
Josh and Andrew were the herdsmen
for the calves.  They did a great job!

Happy Birthday Joshua

Happy "9th"  Birthday Josh!

Josh is growing up so much.
He is really a sweet and loving boy.
He is bright, creative, inquisitive, always reading
and very much retaining what he reads.
He can make anything out of Legos.
But, most of all Josh is a wonderful brother
to his two younger brothers.
We love you Josh!

New Camera

My Kodak bit the dust.
So now I am a Canon user.
It is going to take me a while to learn
all of the features.
It is heavier, but has a much larger zoom.
I think we will be good friends soon.

Katie and Me

Just Because

Strange Treasures

One woman's trash.......
is another buzzard's treasure.
Whew....quite a skunk event yesterday!
I will have to share the story in person.
Do you believe these buzzards?.....at
least 15 or more.  Stench was looming
in the air.

Boys Learning to Work

I had a little brain storm the other day.
For a long time our white vinyl fence has
been in need of cleaning.  Mold seems to
cling to the fence due to the trees nearby.
It is very unsightly and I thought it might
be impossible to get off.
It came to me that the little boys need
to start learning to work some.
I told them I had a little chore I needed them to do.
I added that they might could even make a little money.
Much to my delight, they jumped at the chance.
I gathered all the necessary items up
and checked to see how difficult the fence
would actually be to clean.
It wiped off fairly easy, so I got the boys working.
I was pleased with their digging in and
staying hooked to the task.  The fence
looks brand new, and the boys were proud
of their work.  It was a win-win situation.
They do have a little more to finish.
Since they were paid for the areas they completed,
they now have incentive to complete the task.
I also praised their work, but pointed out areas
they missed and insisted they clean it all,
even the little areas.

Katie carried the lesson further by talking to them
able tithing and figuring the 10% of their earned
money to give in Sunday School for the Lord.
Good job boys!

Gillan and Gracie, there will always be chores here,
so you can get in on some of this fun too, if you would like to.
You have helped with chores here before.
Fun, huh?
