I was summoned outside via way of a text message
this afternoon. It went like this - from David--
"Nice scene of heifers behind house picturesque".
That was my cue to grab the camera and take dairy heifer
pictures. I found more than just these beauties outside.
Our dog Shadow above, dug herself a huge hole
to lay in....guess she is trying to keep cool.
Look below at these beautiful Rose of Sharon bushes
complete with yellow butterflies and bumble bees.
Nature never ceases to amaze me.
It has been so hot and dry for weeks.....it looked worse
than the middle of winter around here.
But, a few nights ago we received some flooding rain.
Now, everything looks fresh again.
The weather is beautiful today. I think there needs to
be another season....that of the few weeks between
the hot summer and the crisp fall.
Maybe it could be Sumall....not summer and not fall.
Is this blue sky behind the flowers and butterflies
not just gorgeous?
Busy, busy bee embedded in the blooms.
And, this is about the last living thing left
on my back porch....survived only by the
slightly cooler weather and watering.

Pretty pictures! These have been some nice days. I sure wish Sumall would last longer than it does!
Those are great pictures. I agree, nature is awesome. To think, God made each thing for it's own purpose. I also like SUMALL - I think we are in it, just think how great it would be if it was 3 months long.
