A Little Bit of Christmas

A glimpse of the dairy farm---cold, blowing wind, rain, sleet, and snow makes for a dreary day.  These are cloudy pictures, but "real" in the kind of day it was.....cloudy!  The cows must be fed and watered daily, but especially in inclement weather.  Some adjectives according to Webster's for inclement = rough; severe; stormy; lacking mercy or leniency; HARSH---yes, yes, that about says it...it was just that.  Oh, but we had bright spirits and cheerfully excited grandchildren arriving shortly.  The weather really could have been worse and it has been in the past....AND now, Mooving On!

This is our house in the background, and the foreground is part of the dairy farm.
I was waiting for the family from a far---in the warm house.

We shared a meal, and Josh read the Christmas story
from the Bible for us.....a great way to start before
ripping into packages.

Andrew and Gillan cozily waited under an Afghan

Let the fun begin.....Josh showing his
new sweatshirt with an embroidered
Classic 1956 GMC Pickup Truck on it.
Yes, I did it myself...yeah me.

Andrew has a 1956 Ford Sunliner....those were the days.

Gillan is showing his sideways soft blanket
complete with name and a soccer ball.

And, Gracie got a pajama clad pony on her blanket.

They received other gifts too, but I just had to
show these and this one below.
My Texas boy likes OSU stuff....yeah, GO Cowboys!
He has to compete with his "OU fan" cousin....sorry Kasey,
it is a competitive world.

And Nathan crawled up in Aunt Christy's lap and went fast a sleep.

Awe, and Rudy made a special treat...and he did it
by himself-----he made the now famous blogger, Pioneer Woman's
recipe for:

BBQ JALAPENO POPPERS
Yum, Yum!!
