Texas Grandkids Find Snow

Gillan and Gracie were thrilled to find "real snow".
They really have only seen a slight dusting of snow
in their life time.
While this was not a deep snow, it was snow and ground cover...
and a White Christmas!
Christmas Day the snow was powdery and would not
even make a snowball, but oh, Saturday was great and
away they all went....at least all most all of them.

Gracie and Gillan got right after the makings of a snowman.

Poor Andrew....look at those cold knees..
Does he need some coveralls? He didn't seem to
be bothered by the cold.

Some planning was going on here. Andrew was
trying to convey something about the things they
needed to complete the snowman....this shot was
taken from inside the house.

I don't know who found the bubble blower pipe,
but Gillan was the first to pose with it. They
used it for Frosty.

"Why can't I go out there too?"

Wow, Frosty is looking cool now.
Gillan and Josh are quite proud of the final results.
OSU cap and all!

"I really want to go out there!"

And Gillan finishes up with a snowball fight with Frosty.

Why didn't you bundle poor Nate up and send him out there too!!! He would have had a ball too, maybe, Jack didn't like it being on his hands nor did he like the way it effected his ability to walk. The kids looked like they had fun playing too! God gave us a beautiful Christmas this year...outside fun after probably recieving some sort of gift that would have you sitting around watching tv or playing video games. Those kids are growing up so fast!

You a right Jodie, we probably should have sent the little guy outside too. And, yes the snow was great to get the bigger kids moving...they were glued to something..Nintendo DX or something like that. I can't keep up with all of the new gadgets.

Came back to read your comment...I know what you mean by not able to keep up with all the gadgets. We bought a Wii as a family present...and that is usually the only time the kids play it is when Chris or I are playing it with them. Otherwise they have their own toys, barbies or little ponies, to play with. Of course the boys are just into whatever! I remember the days when you had to find your own entertainment and it sure didn't include anything animated or electronic! Usually entailed dirt and animals! :)

Well, I just wish there were email notifications for the comment section....I've seen it on some blogs, but don't know how to get it.
