Something To Remember

 VICTORY!

I received the words posted below from my good friend Mary, who is also a classmate and a member of the same church where we attend.  She shared this in Sunday School last Sunday, and I asked her to share it with me.  She received the following some time ago from a dear friend of hers,  and she has it written in the front of her Bible.  I know I need to read this often and therefore, I am posting it here for safekeeping.  I know many of you may want to return here to read this, as well.  

I am a known "fretter" and sometimes known to be in a "panic" over the smallest things.  I will consider the writing below from an unknown author to be a daily reminder of how futile those actions really are.  Lean on Him, just lean on Him.

There is nothing - no circumstance, no trouble, no testing that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ, right through to me.  If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose which I may not understand at the moment.  But, as I refuse to become panicky; as I lift up my eyes to Him and accept it as coming from the very throne of God or through His permissive will for some great purpose of blessing to my life, no sorrow will ever disarm me, no circumstance will cause me to fret;  for I shall rest in the joy of what my Lord is.  THAT IS THE REAL VICTORY!
